Perfect Chemistry by Simmone Elkeles

This book has been on my TBR list for months and I finally worked my way to it and now I'm thinking what the hell took me so long, I should've read this book when I found it. It's the classic story of bad boy falls for good girl, but with a little twist. The good girl, Brittany Ellis has her own issues, her life isn't as perfect as she makes it out to be. I give it 5/5 stars. Alex Fuentes is YUMMY!! Definitely book boyfriend material.
Brittany Ellis tries to be perfect. Perfect hair, perfect clothes, perfect grades, perfect family, perfect EVERYTHING! That's what everyone HAS to see, there can be no cracks in the facade. Her mom stays on her case about everything! She is excited to start the first day of senior year, to see her boyfriend that was away over the summer, until she gets to school and the BAD BOY Alex Fuentes comes raining on her parade. They have a run in at the beginning of the day and she stands up to him being a bully, then she gets to chemistry and finds out that he is her new lab partner... UGH REALLY!!! Can her day get any worse!
Alejandro "Alex" Fuentes is a member of the Latino Bloods, not by choice but as a way to survive, a way to make sure his family is safe and taken care of. Everyone at school has labeled him a bad ass and not one to be messed with. Now he has little miss perfect Brittany Ellis as his lab partner and they have a project to work on outside of school together, not to mention that her boyfriend hates him and the feeling is mutual. The more Brittany and Alex work together outside of school the more they realize they have more in common than they thought. Alex isn't the hard ass trouble maker that everyone thinks he is and Brittany isn't really a stuck up princess. As they start having feelings for each other, Alex knows that Brittany doesn't fit into his world of gang life, he knows he will never go to college and leaving the Bloods is not an option. Brittany likes Alex, but is it enough to give up her perfect life?
